Our Work

Chicago, Illinois
A modern multi-family birdhouse
1.8 sq.ft.
Auctioned off 2009

In response to the economic downturn where we were told repeatedly that the housing market was for the birds, the always savvy Froelich Kim Architecture reacted swiftly with this offering. Hoping to capitalize on this market analysis, we aim to fill a much talked about and needed niche with this multi family birdhouse. Just kidding.

This was our contribution to a fundraiser for the Priztker Elementary School where artists and architects were asked to design and build birdhouses to be auctioned at a fundraising event. We were pleased to find that our two entries were well received and were featured in several press releases for the fundraiser.

Materials: Clear cedar, clear anodized aluminum, oiled walnut, exterior latex paint.
